Police shoot man at Berlin hospital

It’s reported that police have cordoned off an area around the hospital.

POLICE HAVE SHOT a man at a hospital in Berlin.

In a statement on Twitter, Berlin police said that a man had been shot and injured in the parking lot of the Urban Hospital the Kreuzberg area of the city.

Police said the man was shot in the leg by an officer in self-defence.

It’s reported by broadcast RBB that there was a “threat” to an officer and they responded.

Witnesses reported that several shots were fired.

The area around the hospital has been cordoned of by police and the emergency area for ambulances had been blocked.

Police said that the area had since been reopened.
